The AI Analysis Report provides a deep, AI-powered review of your completed backtest results. Available for Pro, Premium, and Private subscribers.
What is AI Analysis?
After a backtest completes, you can request an AI analysis powered by Claude Opus 4.5 — Anthropic's most capable model. The AI examines your strategy's performance, identifies patterns, and provides research-grade insights.
How to Request an Analysis
- Open a completed backtest results page
- Find the AI Analysis section
- Optionally enter a focus area (e.g., "drawdown patterns", "trade distribution", "seasonal effects")
- Click Run AI Analysis
- Wait 30–60 seconds for the report to generate
What the Report Covers
The analysis report may include (depending on your strategy):
- Performance Overview — summary of key metrics with context
- Trade Pattern Analysis — clustering of winning vs. losing trades
- Drawdown Assessment — depth, duration, and recovery characteristics
- Risk Management Evaluation — effectiveness of SL/TP/trailing settings
- Market Regime Behavior — how the strategy performs in different conditions
- Signal Frequency Analysis — entry condition trigger patterns
- Equity Curve Characteristics — shape, volatility, growth consistency
Follow-Up Questions
After the initial analysis, you can ask follow-up questions:
"Can you elaborate on the drawdown periods?" "What do you think about the win rate by month?" "Analyze the difference between long and short trades."
Follow-up responses use Claude Sonnet 4 for faster answers while maintaining context from the original analysis.
Focus Areas
When requesting analysis, specify a focus for more targeted insights:

What Data Does AI See?
For your privacy and security, the AI receives:
- Strategy configuration (indicators, conditions, risk settings)
- Aggregate metrics (ROI, Sharpe, drawdown, win rate, trade count)
- Event study data (anonymized market behavior around trades)
The AI does NOT see:
- Raw candle/price data
- Individual trade entries and exits
- Your account balance or personal information
Re-Analyzing
You can run the analysis multiple times with different focus areas. Each analysis is independent — the AI starts fresh with the same data but different focus.
Pricing
AI Analysis uses your monthly AI budget. A single analysis costs approximately 10x a regular chat message due to the Opus model's higher token cost.
