StratBase.ai is an AI-powered backtesting platform for trading strategies. Users describe trading ideas in natural language, and AI formalizes them into testable strategy configurations. The Service includes:
- Strategy configuration through natural language AI chat
- Historical backtesting of trading strategies
- Strategy optimization and AI analysis
- Social features (catalog, comments, messaging)
- Market monitoring tools (OI screener, funding rates, liquidations, heatmap, news)
3. Important Disclaimers
AI does NOT provide trading recommendations or financial advice.
- AI only translates user ideas into formal, testable configurations
- All trading decisions are the sole responsibility of the user
- Past backtest performance does not guarantee future results
- StratBase.ai is not a financial advisor, broker, or investment service
- Backtesting results are simulations based on historical data and may not reflect real-world trading conditions
- StratBase.ai does not execute trades or manage funds on your behalf
4. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
- Maintain only one account per person (duplicate accounts may be terminated)
We reserve the right to refuse registration or terminate accounts at our discretion.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the platform
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
- Transmit malware, viruses, or any destructive code
- Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Share your account credentials with third parties
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
6. Subscriptions

- Subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew unless cancelled
- You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
- Downgrading may result in loss of access to premium features
7. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax compliance, and payment processing on behalf of StratBase.ai.
StratBase.ai does not store your payment card information. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.

8. Intellectual Property
- Your content: strategy configurations, backtest parameters, and AI chat conversations you create belong to you
- Our content: the platform software, AI models, user interface, documentation, and branding are the property of StratBase.ai and are protected by intellectual property laws
- Public backtests: when you set a backtest's visibility to "public", it becomes visible to all users in the catalog. You retain ownership but grant StratBase.ai a license to display it
- Clone protection: we implement automated systems to detect and flag strategy clones in the public catalog
9. User-Generated Content
By posting comments, messages, or making backtests public, you:
- Retain ownership of your content
- Grant StratBase.ai a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it within the platform
- Agree not to post content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on others' rights
- Acknowledge that we may remove content that violates these terms
10. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
- Update features, pricing, or usage limits with reasonable notice
- Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notifications.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- StratBase.ai is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of backtest results
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute:
- Informal resolution: contact us at support@stratbase.ai first. We will attempt to resolve the issue within 30 days
- Mediation: if informal resolution fails, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action
- Jurisdiction: any legal proceedings shall be conducted in accordance with the governing law specified below
You agree to waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against StratBase.ai.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where StratBase.ai operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity
- Remain inactive for more than 24 months
- Are involved in payment disputes in bad faith
Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days. After that period, your data will be permanently deleted.
By using StratBase.ai, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
