Crypto & Stock Calculators
Crypto & Stock Calculators
Seven standalone calculators built into StratBase.ai for quick financial math — no spreadsheets, no external tools. Four cover crypto-specific scenarios (conversion, mining, staking, liquidity pools), and three handle stock market analysis (dividends, cost averaging, options). Each calculator runs independently from the backtesting engine, so results are available instantly without consuming any strategy credits.
How to Access
From the main StratBase.ai dashboard, click Tools in the left sidebar, then select Calculators. Each calculator appears as a separate tab across the top of the panel. All inputs are editable inline — no forms to submit. Results update in real time as you type.
Crypto Converter
Supports 14 assets: BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, AVAX, DOT, MATIC, LINK, UNI, LTC, and ATOM. Type an amount in either field and the equivalent updates instantly using current market rates. The inverse rate displays below, useful when calculating position sizing across pairs.
Example: Enter 2.5 ETH → the calculator returns the BTC equivalent at the live ETH/BTC rate, plus the reverse rate per BTC.
Mining Profitability Calculator
Enter seven parameters to model mining economics across daily, monthly, and yearly horizons:
| Parameter | Example Value | |---|---| | Hashrate | 120 TH/s | | Power Consumption | 3,400 W | | Electricity Cost | $0.07 /kWh | | Pool Fee | 1% | | Block Reward | 3.125 BTC | | Network Hashrate | 650 EH/s | | Coin Price | $62,000 |
With these inputs, the calculator returns daily revenue, electricity cost, pool fees, and net profit as separate line items — so you immediately see whether your margin survives a price drop or difficulty increase.
Staking Calculator
Projects compounding staking rewards with validator fee deduction. The growth chart visualizes balance progression across your chosen period.
Step-by-step example:
- Set Staking Amount to
10,000 SOL - Enter APR as
7.2% - Set Period to
365 days - Set Compound Frequency to
365(daily) - Enter Validator Fee as
5% - Set Token Price to
$145
Outputs: effective APR after the validator cut (~6.84%), total token rewards, USD equivalent, and final balance — all reflected on the curve chart.
Impermanent Loss Calculator
Models AMM pool risk when the price ratio between two deposited tokens shifts. The chart plots IL percentage across a range of price scenarios, not just the single point you enter.
Example: Deposit $10,000 into an ETH/USDC pool. ETH starts at $2,000. If ETH rises to $3,200 (+60%), the calculator shows approximately 6.4% impermanent loss against simply holding — roughly $640 on your deposit. Enter the pool's APR (say 18%) to see whether fee income offsets that loss over your intended holding period.
When both tokens move proportionally in the same direction, IL is zero. The risk concentrates when one token dramatically outperforms the other.
Dividend Yield Calculator
Models income from equity holdings with optional DRIP (dividend reinvestment) projections over a multi-year horizon.
Example values: Share price $148, annual dividend $3.92/share, 500 shares, 5% dividend growth rate, 22% tax rate, reinvestment enabled, 10-year projection. The calculator returns current yield (2.65%), after-tax annual income, and a year-by-year table showing how yield-on-cost increases as dividends grow and shares accumulate through reinvestment.
Stock Average Calculator
Add purchase rows dynamically — each row takes price per share, quantity, and optional commission. Enter as many tranches as needed to model a dollar-cost averaging history.
Example: Three BTC ETF purchases: 50 shares at $42, 80 at $38, 60 at $45. Current price $50. The calculator returns weighted average cost ($41.19), total shares (190), total invested including commissions, current market value, and unrealized PnL in both dollar and percentage terms.
Options Profit Calculator
Select Call or Put, Buy or Sell, then enter strike, premium, contract count, and an expected expiration price. The interactive P&L chart renders profit and loss across the full price range — not just at your entered expiry price — so you can identify breakeven points visually.
Example: Buy 3 ETH call contracts, strike $3,500, premium $210, expected expiry price $4,100. Output: net profit $1,170, breakeven at $3,710, max loss capped at $630 (premium paid × 3 contracts), ROI 185.7%.
Tips
- Use the Mining Calculator alongside StratBase's BTC/USDT backtest data to cross-check whether a strategy's projected returns beat mining margins at a given electricity rate.
- The Impermanent Loss chart is most useful when dragged across the full price range before committing capital to a new liquidity pool.
- Options P&L charts update instantly when you adjust the premium — useful for comparing entry prices at different volatility levels without re-entering all parameters.
