Data Not Loading or Missing
If market data isn't loading or you see gaps in your charts, follow this guide.
Checking Data Coverage
- Visit the Data Coverage page to see all available instruments
- Each instrument shows:
- Available timeframes
- Date range (start → end)
- Exchange source
- Data completeness status
Common Data Issues
Instrument Not Available
Problem: Your desired trading pair doesn't appear in the instrument list.
Solutions:
- Check if the pair exists on supported exchanges (Binance, Bybit)
- Try the exact format:
BTC/USDT(with slash), notBTCUSDT - Some delisted pairs may not be available
- Forex pairs use Dukascopy data — check the forex instrument list
- US Stocks use Alpaca data — 130+ symbols available
No Data for Selected Period
Problem: The backtest period extends beyond available data.
Solutions:
- Check the data range in the configurator — it shows available dates
- Adjust your period to fit within available data
- Newer instruments may have limited history
Chart Shows Gaps
Problem: The TradingView chart has missing candles.
Possible causes:
- The exchange was down during that period
- Weekend/holiday gaps (normal for stocks and forex)
- Data loading in progress — some instruments are still being loaded
Slow Data Loading
Problem: Charts or backtests take a long time to load data.
Solutions:
- Large date ranges with small timeframes generate millions of candles
- Try a larger timeframe (e.g., 1h instead of 1m for multi-year periods)
- The system downsamples to max 50,000 candles for chart display

Q: When will more instruments be added? A: Data loading is continuous. New instruments are added regularly as loaders complete.
Q: Can I request a specific instrument? A: Contact support with the instrument name and exchange — we'll prioritize it.
Q: Why is forex data different from my broker? A: Forex data comes from Dukascopy (interbank quotes). Individual broker data may differ slightly due to spreads and liquidity.
