Payment & Billing Issues

All payments on StratBase.ai are processed through Stripe. Here's how to resolve common payment issues.

Subscription Not Activating

After payment, your plan should activate immediately. If it doesn't:

  1. Wait 1–2 minutes — Stripe webhooks may take a moment
  2. Refresh the page — your subscription status updates on page load
  3. Check your email — Stripe sends a payment confirmation
  4. If still not active, contact support with your payment receipt

Payment Declined

Common reasons:

Managing Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click "Manage Subscription"
  3. In the Stripe portal:
    • Update card details
    • Add a new payment method
    • Set a default payment method

Viewing Invoices

  1. Settings → Subscription → Manage
  2. Click "Billing history" in the Stripe portal
  3. Download invoices as PDF

Requesting a Refund

  • Within 48 hours of purchase: contact support for a full refund
  • After 48 hours: cancellation stops future charges but the current period is not refunded
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days

Upgrading Mid-Cycle

When you upgrade during a billing cycle:

  • Stripe calculates a prorated amount
  • You only pay the difference for the remaining days
  • New features activate immediately

Downgrading

  • The downgrade takes effect at the end of current billing period
  • You keep current plan features until then
  • No partial refund for the remaining period

Currency

  • All prices are in USD
  • Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee
  • The amount charged may differ slightly from the listed price due to exchange rates

FAQ

Q: I was charged twice — what do I do? A: Check your bank statement — it might be a hold and an actual charge (the hold will be released). If truly double-charged, contact support.

Q: Can I pay with cryptocurrency? A: Not yet. Crypto payments (NOWPayments) are planned for a future release.

Q: Do you offer annual billing? A: Currently only monthly billing is available.

Q: Can I get a receipt for tax purposes? A: Yes, download invoices from the Stripe billing portal.
