REKT Screener — Liquidations
REKT Screener — Liquidations
The REKT Screener shows real-time cryptocurrency liquidation events from Binance and Bybit futures markets. Track forced position closures, identify cascade liquidation events, and understand market stress in real time.
What Are Liquidations?
When a trader's margin balance falls below the maintenance margin requirement, the exchange force-closes (liquidates) their position. Large liquidation events often trigger price cascades:
- Long liquidation → Forced selling → Price drops further → More long liquidations
- Short liquidation → Forced buying → Price rises further → More short liquidations
Data Source
The screener receives liquidation data via real-time WebSocket streams:
- Binance Futures — all USDT perpetual contracts
- Bybit Linear — all linear perpetual contracts
Events are batched every 5 seconds. Only liquidations worth $1,000+ USD are displayed (smaller ones are filtered out).
Feed Columns
Each liquidation event shows:
| Field | Description | |-------|-------------| | Time | When the liquidation occurred | | Exchange | Binance or Bybit | | Symbol | Trading pair (e.g., BTCUSDT) | | Side | Long or Short (which was liquidated) | | Price | Liquidation price | | Value (USD) | Notional USD value of the liquidation |
24-Hour Statistics
The stats panel shows aggregate data:
| Metric | Description | |--------|-------------| | Total Events | Number of liquidations in 24h | | Total Volume | USD value of all liquidations | | Long Volume | Value of long liquidations | | Short Volume | Value of short liquidations | | Long % | Percentage from long liquidations | | Short % | Percentage from short liquidations | | Top Symbol | Most liquidated trading pair | | Top Exchange | Exchange with highest liquidation volume |
Tip: When Long% significantly exceeds Short%, the market is flushing leveraged longs — often seen near local bottoms. The reverse signals potential tops.
Filtering
| Filter | Options | |--------|---------| | Exchange | Binance, Bybit, or all | | Symbol | Search by pair name | | Side | Long, Short, or both | | Min Value | Minimum USD value (filter out small liquidations) | | Limit | 1–100 events per page (default: 50) |

Interpreting Liquidation Data
Cascading Liquidations
When you see multiple large liquidations in the same direction within minutes, it indicates a cascade — each liquidation pushes price further, triggering the next.
Long/Short Ratio
- 70%+ Longs liquidated → Market flushing leveraged bulls, potential bottom
- 70%+ Shorts liquidated → Market squeezing bears, potential top
- 50/50 split → Balanced deleveraging, no clear direction
Volume Spikes
Sudden spikes in total liquidation volume (10× average) often mark capitulation events — significant turning points.
