StratBase.ai offers four subscription tiers — Free, Pro, Premium, and Private — designed to match different levels of trading research intensity. Every plan includes full access to all monitoring tools and calculators. You pay only when you need more backtesting power, broader instrument coverage, deeper history, or stronger privacy controls.

The Free plan is a fully functional starting point, not a crippled demo. You can build and run complete strategies using the Rust backtesting engine, access all 239 indicators, and use every monitoring tool on the platform.

What you get:

• 5 backtests per day (resets at midnight UTC)
• 6 instruments: BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, EUR/USD, XAU/USD, AAPL, SPY
• 1-minute minimum timeframe
• Up to 1 year of historical data
• Basic AI chat assistance (~100 messages/month)
• Full access to all monitoring tools: Economic Calendar, Open Interest Screener, Funding Rate, REKT Dashboard, Liquidation Heatmap, Fear & Greed Index, Pump/Dump Scanner
• Full access to all 24 calculators

The 5-backtest daily limit counts only completed runs. Validation errors or configuration saves do not consume a backtest slot.

Pro removes the instrument and volume restrictions that constrain serious research.

Everything in Free, plus:

• Unlimited backtests per day
• All 1,700+ crypto pairs, 27 forex pairs, and 130 stocks
• Up to 3 years of historical data
• Single-parameter optimization (sweep one variable across a defined range)
• Full AI chat access with Claude
• AI Analysis Reports — automated strategy evaluation with narrative insights
• Research Documents — shareable formatted reports for each backtest
• Direct messaging with other platform members
• Eligible for the Researcher Badge (granted based on published strategy quality)

Example: A Pro user testing a momentum strategy on SOL/USDT can sweep the RSI period from 7 to 28 across 3 years of 15-minute data in a single optimization run, reviewing each result ranked by Sharpe ratio.

Premium adds the two capabilities that scalpers and high-frequency researchers need most: 1-second timeframes and 5-year data depth.

Everything in Pro, plus:

• 1-second minimum timeframe — test microstructure and scalping logic with tick-level granularity
• 5 years of historical data — cover multiple market cycles, including bull, bear, and sideways regimes
• Full grid search optimization — test every combination of multiple parameters simultaneously. A strategy with three parameters (e.g., fast MA period, slow MA period, stop-loss %) is evaluated across the entire defined grid rather than one parameter at a time
• Higher monthly AI usage allocation (~580 chat messages, ~10 full AI analyses)

Example: A Premium user running a grid search on a dual-MA crossover strategy with fast period [5,10,15], slow period [20,30,40], and stop-loss [1%,2%,3%] generates 27 result combinations ranked by net profit, max drawdown, and win rate — all in one optimization job.

Private is built for researchers who need confidentiality alongside maximum resources.

Everything in Premium, plus:

• Private backtests — your strategies and results are invisible to other users and do not appear in public feeds or leaderboards
• Confidential mode — when you publish or share a strategy, other users can clone its structure but cannot inspect the indicator configuration, parameter values, or logic
• Priority support — direct queue access with faster response times
• Maximum AI usage allocation (~1,450 chat messages, ~25 full AI analyses per month)

Annual plans save approximately 28% and are billed as a single charge. The same features apply immediately.

AI costs are real and vary by model. Each plan includes a monthly dollar budget that covers chat messages and AI Analysis Reports. Usage draws from this shared pool.

AI Analysis Reports cost significantly more than individual chat messages because they process full backtest data and generate structured multi-section outputs. If your budget runs out before the month resets, you can purchase additional AI credit packs from Settings → Subscription.

1. Navigate to Pricing from the top navigation, or go directly to Settings → Subscription
2. Select your plan (Free, Pro, Premium, or Private)
3. Choose monthly or annual billing
4. Enter payment details — all transactions processed securely via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and most major debit cards accepted)
5. Your plan activates immediately upon payment confirmation

Upgrading: Takes effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.

Downgrading: The change schedules for the next billing cycle. You retain current plan features until that date.

Canceling: Access continues until your paid period ends. No automatic renewal occurs after cancellation.

Invoices and billing history: Available through the Stripe customer portal, accessible from Settings → Subscription → Billing History.

Backtest data on downgrade: All previously run backtests remain in your account. You can view results and reports from strategies that required a higher plan. You simply cannot run new backtests using features unavailable on your current plan (e.g., instruments outside the Free tier's six, or timeframes below 1 minute on Free/Pro).

• Start on Free to validate your strategy logic before committing to a paid plan. The six available instruments cover two of the most liquid crypto pairs, a major forex pair, gold, and two high-volume US equities — enough to confirm a strategy concept works.
• Upgrade to Pro when you hit the 5-backtest daily limit consistently or need to test on altcoins, niche forex pairs, or specific stocks.
• Choose Premium if optimization is central to your workflow. Full grid search across multiple parameters is the single biggest productivity upgrade for systematic researchers.
• Private plan pays for itself if you are building proprietary strategies and want to publish results publicly without exposing your edge.
• Annual billing makes sense from month one if you know you will use the platform consistently — the two to three months of free access you effectively receive offsets more than the cost of an occasional month you underuse.
• All monitoring tools — OI Screener, REKT Dashboard, Liquidation Heatmap, Economic Calendar, Funding Rate tracker, Fear & Greed Index, Pump/Dump Scanner — are available at no cost on every plan including Free.
