Payment & Billing Issues
All payments on StratBase.ai are processed through Stripe. Here's how to resolve common payment issues.
Subscription Not Activating
After payment, your plan should activate immediately. If it doesn't:
- Wait 1–2 minutes — Stripe webhooks may take a moment
- Refresh the page — your subscription status updates on page load
- Check your email — Stripe sends a payment confirmation
- If still not active, contact support with your payment receipt
Payment Declined
Common reasons:

Managing Payment Method
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click "Manage Subscription"
- In the Stripe portal:
- Update card details
- Add a new payment method
- Set a default payment method
Viewing Invoices
- Settings → Subscription → Manage
- Click "Billing history" in the Stripe portal
- Download invoices as PDF
Requesting a Refund
- Within 48 hours of purchase: contact support for a full refund
- After 48 hours: cancellation stops future charges but the current period is not refunded
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days
Upgrading Mid-Cycle
When you upgrade during a billing cycle:
- Stripe calculates a prorated amount
- You only pay the difference for the remaining days
- New features activate immediately
Downgrading
- The downgrade takes effect at the end of current billing period
- You keep current plan features until then
- No partial refund for the remaining period
Currency
- All prices are in USD
- Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee
- The amount charged may differ slightly from the listed price due to exchange rates
FAQ
Q: I was charged twice — what do I do? A: Check your bank statement — it might be a hold and an actual charge (the hold will be released). If truly double-charged, contact support.
Q: Can I pay with cryptocurrency? A: Not yet. Crypto payments (NOWPayments) are planned for a future release.
Q: Do you offer annual billing? A: Currently only monthly billing is available.
Q: Can I get a receipt for tax purposes? A: Yes, download invoices from the Stripe billing portal.
