Managing Your Subscription
StratBase.ai offers 4 subscription tiers with different feature sets. All payments are processed through Stripe.

Subscribing
- Go to Settings → Subscription or visit the Pricing page
- Select a plan
- Click "Subscribe" — you'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout
- Enter your payment details
- After payment, your plan is activated immediately
Managing Your Subscription
Click "Manage Subscription" in Settings → Subscription to open the Stripe Customer Portal where you can:
- Change plan — upgrade or downgrade
- Update payment method — change card details
- View invoices — download past invoices/receipts
- Cancel subscription — effective at the end of the current billing period
Upgrading
When you upgrade:
- The price difference is prorated — you only pay for the remaining days
- New features are available immediately
- Your backtest and AI message counters continue from where they were
Downgrading
When you downgrade:
- The change takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You keep your current plan's features until then
- Private/confidential backtests become public if you downgrade from Private tier
Canceling
- Go to Settings → Subscription → Manage
- Click "Cancel Subscription" in the Stripe portal
- You retain access until the end of your current billing period
- After expiration, your account reverts to the Free plan
Note: Cancellation doesn't delete your data. Your backtests, messages, and profile remain intact.
Usage Tracking
Monitor your monthly usage in Settings → Subscription:
- Backtests used — count of backtests today (Free: 5/day limit)
- AI messages — count of AI chat messages this month
Usage resets on the 1st of each month.
FAQ
Q: Can I get a refund? A: Contact support within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund. After that, cancellation stops future charges but doesn't refund the current period.
Q: What happens to my data if I cancel? A: All your data is preserved. You can re-subscribe anytime and everything will be as you left it.
Q: Do annual plans exist? A: Currently, only monthly billing is available.
