Likes, Favorites & Following
StratBase.ai includes social engagement features that let you interact with strategies and follow your favorite authors.
Likes
Click the heart icon on any backtest to like it. Likes are public and contribute to:
- Catalog ranking — Featured section uses
(Likes × 3) + Viewsformula - Author reputation — total likes received appear on author profiles
- Researcher Badge progress — like thresholds for Bronze/Silver/Gold levels
Likes are toggleable — click again to unlike. Each user can like a backtest once.
Favorites
Click the bookmark icon to add a backtest to your Favorites. Unlike likes, favorites are private — only you can see your bookmarks.
Use favorites to:
- Save strategies for later review
- Build a personal watchlist of interesting approaches
- Quickly access backtests you want to study
Access your favorites from your profile's Favorites section.
Following Authors
Click Follow on any user's profile to stay updated on their activity. Following enables:
- Activity Feed — see when followed authors publish new backtests, receive comments, or get cloned
- Notifications — optional alerts for followed author activity
- Social signals — high follower counts indicate respected community members
Follower count is visible on author profiles and contributes to Researcher Badge progression.
Activity Feed
The Activity Feed shows events from users you follow:
| Event Type | Description | |------------|-------------| | Backtest completed | Followed author completed a new backtest | | Strategy cloned | Someone cloned a followed author's strategy | | Comment posted | New comment on a followed author's backtest | | New follower | Followed author gained a follower |
Access the feed from the Activity page in the navigation menu. Events can be marked as read individually or all at once.
Views
Every time someone views a backtest detail page, the view counter increments. Views contribute to the Featured section ranking and provide analytics to the strategy author.
