Customize your public profile to showcase your trading research and connect with the StratBase.ai community.
Profile Fields

Changing Your Username
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Edit the username field
- Save changes
Restrictions:
- 3–50 characters, alphanumeric + underscores
- Must be unique across the platform
- 7-day cooldown after a username change — you cannot change again for a week
- 7-day cooldown also applies after password or email changes
Avatar
Default avatar: Automatically generated using DiceBear based on your username.
Custom avatar:
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Click your avatar or "Upload"
- Select an image (JPG, PNG, WebP — max 2 MB)
- Your avatar updates immediately
Social Links
Add links to your social profiles to appear on your public profile page:
- Twitter/X — your handle
- GitHub — your profile
- Telegram — your username
- Website — personal site or blog
- YouTube — your channel
- Discord — your server or username
Social links are stored as JSONB and displayed with icons on your profile.
Privacy Settings
Control who can interact with you:

Go to Settings → Profile → Privacy to configure.
Public Profile
Your profile at /user/{username} shows:
- Avatar, display name, bio
- Social links
- Public backtests (with pagination)
- Follower/following counts
- Researcher badge (if any)
FAQ
Q: Can I change my username freely? A: Yes, but there's a 7-day cooldown between changes. After changing your password or email, you must also wait 7 days.
Q: What happens to old links after changing username? A: Old profile URLs (using the old username) will return 404. Update your bookmarks.
Q: How do I delete my avatar? A: Upload a new one or your DiceBear default will be restored when you remove the custom avatar.
